ABOUT ME!

Christopher Bonin is a lighting technician and designer currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Technology at Louisiana State University. He got started in lighting design his very first semester in college with absolutely no prior experience working in the field. However, a passion to learn more and develop his talents led to him light designing his first production in his freshman year. Since then, he has had experience designing and working shows for both school-related productions as well as being hired by community theatre companies such as New Venture Theatre and Christian Youth Theatre. Christopher believes that, much like sound or scenery, lighting plays a crucial role in transmitting the desired emotions, thoughts, or even circumstances portrayed by actors onstage to the audience. His goal is to help contribute to this effect by visually enhancing the environment and atmosphere.

Originally born in Louisiana, Christopher spent most of his childhood growing up overseas in Europe due to his parents' work. Because of that, he is fluent in French as well as English and holds a basic understanding of a few other languages. This allowed him to connect with many different people and makes it easy for him to work and interact with individuals from different cultural or social backgrounds.
